OUR STORY

How we started

Influenced by several great cooks, Chef Marsha Thompson has had a love for food since the age of five. 

While at the beauty shop getting her shampooed and styled, she would cut out recipes from magazines in the waiting area. Chef Thompson would ask her mother to make the recipes for her while her Mom allowed her to assist. Before you know it, she was preparing recipes on her own. 

 

With the reinforcement of her Grandmother, Chef Thompson learned to grow fruits and vegetables. She also learned how to prepare the traditional family recipes passed down for generations.

 

Chef Marsha received her Culinary degree from Remington College Culinary, where she graduated summa cum laude.

 

Chef Marsha collaborated with BBQologist, Matt Thompson of Matt's Chop Shop.  

 

From the two came the birth of Straight From the Kitchen, LLC and also OOOWWWEEE Wangz N Catfish.

 

I'm sure there will be more to come.
